The role of the T1565C gene polymorphism encoding integrin beta 3 in the development of thrombotic events and its influence on the efficiency of anti-platelet therapy
Abstract
This review describes the main modern provisions on the structural and functional features of integrins in humans; studies of the relationship between polymorphism of the T1565C gene encoding integrin beta 3 (ITGβ3), thrombotic events and the effectiveness of antiplatelet drugs used; the expediency of research for the presence of this mutation is considered. Data analysis was carried out on the basis of publications presented in databases and web resources: MEDLINE, PubMed, Google Scholar, Cyberleninka, eLibrary, covering the time period from 1989 to 2022. The inclusion criteria for the review were articles in Russian and English, results of cohort and randomized studies, meta-analyses, systematic reviews of the problem under study, as well as descriptions of clinical cases. Exclusion criteria were studies with no clear-cut conclusions or conflicting results.
