Correction of the processes of oxidative modification of lipids and nucleic acids in men with idiopathic infertility: ethylmethylhydroxypyridine malat (Ethoxidol)
Abstract
Abstract. The male factor is the cause of 50% of cases of infertility, and one of the main factors of its pathogenesis is oxidative stress that occurs as a result of increased free radical processes and reduce the buffer capacity of antioxidant protection. Separate modern studies indicate the possible therapeutic value of antioxidants in the fight against male infertility caused by oxidative stress, but there is a need for deeper and more comprehensive evidence -based research. Aim: Assessment of the content of oxidative damage to lipids, nucleic acids and antioxidant protection components when using ethyl chemical hydroxypirinin in men with idiopathic infertility. Methodology. The study was attended by 80 men with idiopathic infertility (average age 30.2 ± 3.6 years). The control group of practically healthy men with a realized reproductive function was 50 volunteers (average age 30.9 ± 4.5 years). As a material for studies, plasma, blood serum and lizat of red blood cellswere used. Blood was made in the morning, on an empty stomach, from the elbow vein to two test tubes: a vacuum test tube with the addition of an anticoagulant Edta-K3 and a test tube with a clot activator. Results. After the course of intake of the drug ethylmethylhydroxypyridine malat (30 days) in the blood of men with idiopathic infertility, there is a statistically significant decrease in lipoperoxidation and DNA destruction against the background of increasing the power of the antioxidant system, expressed in a reliable increase in the level of SOD and AOA. Conclusion. As a result of the study, it was found that the antioxidant drug ethylmethylhydroxypyridine Malat reduces the oxidative processes in the blood of men with idiopathic infertility.
